Dear Friends,
We are pleased to inform you that our company will take part in the PROWEIN (Düsseldorf) from 21st to 23rd March 2010 and we will be very happy to meet you at HALL 3 – BOOTH G124.
We will also take part in VINITALY from 8th to 12th April 2010 at HALL 9 – BOOTH N2.
We’ll be pleased to taste with you the New Vintage of Prestigious Selections of Barolo, that stand as a starting point of years of investments in the vineyards and in the winecellars, together with the whole range of our wines that are being released these days. Just 1 word to describe them: "Great".

From the Village of La Morra:
- Barolo docg 2006 Vineyard Sorì del Rovere

- Barolo docg 2006 Vineyard Pria-Capalot *
(* Pria is a dialect word for “stone”, this witnesses the presence of sand veins mixed with tuff and clay in the soil).
- Barolo docg 2006 Vineyard Rocchettevino**
(** The place-name “Ronchetovinum” has been registered in the land registry office in La Morra since 1477)
From the Village of Serralunga d’Alba:
- Barolo docg 2006 Vineyard Sorano
thanks to its structure and its complexity it is the genuine expression of this noble territory
From the Village of Treiso d’Alba:
- Barbaresco docg 2006 Vineyard Montersino
This vineyard has an excellent position and it was completely replanted in 2001.
- We also produce Verduno Pelaverga doc, which is one of the RARE ITALIAN WINES.

Moreover we will present the new vintages of:
Barolo d.o.c.g. San Biagio
Langhe Nebbiolo d.o.c. (100% Nebbiolo grapes)
Barbera d’Alba d.o.c. Superiore

We would also like to tell you more about our wine making philosophy:
Piemonte is one of the leading regions in Italy for top-quality wine making. A century-long tradition of small wineries keeps the name of Piemonte wines high all over the world. Our company fits into this pattern of family-run traditional wineries.
The Azienda Agricola San Biagio was established at the beginning of the 20th century and is located in La Morra, actually the most important of the eleven towns where Barolo is produced.
Our estate broadens over 18 hectares and is family-run. All of the vineyards are part of a broader area which is particularly suitable to the raising of Nebbiolo grapes at their best (Grandi Vigne del Barolo): Sorì del Rovere, San Biagio, Galina, Rocchettevino, Roncaglie, Pria-Capalotare amongst the most prestigious parcels of land.
Since foundation, we have been dedicated to carry on a quality-oriented activity both in the vineyards (only selected grapes and low yields of about 60 quintals per hectare) and in the winery, where traditional methods (wines are bottled unfined and unfiltered) contribute to austere, elegant, complex and structured wines, suitable to long ageing. The features that you find in each glass mirror the characteristics of the terroir the wine comes from. These wines are truly symbolic of the Alba and Langhe wine region.
Our wines have appeared in some of the most prestigious guides to Italian wines and have been awarded very good reviews by experts worldwide:
Wine Spectator - Dec. 15. 2009 - pages: 128-134
San Biagio Barolo Sori del Rovere 2005
"Smells very Burgundian, with subtle aromas of plum and flowers. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a berry, smoky wood and cedar aftertaste. Not a huge wine, but offering density, finesse and complexity. Best after 2011."
SCORE: 92
San Biagio Barolo Rocchettivino 2005
"Shows loads of strawberry, milk chocolate and dried mushrooms on the nose. Full-bodied, with soft, round tannins. Ripe and delicious, with hints of citrus fruit on the finish. Best after 2011."
SCORE: 91
San Biagio Barolo Pria-Capalot 2005
"Sweet plum and berry aromas follow through to a medium body, with fine tannins and a fruity finish. Balanced and delicious already. Best after 2009."
